Learning In Community Days

SPIDER Elementary Learning In Community Days are intended to allow learners to come together and enjoy learning as part of a community. They are also an excellent opportunity for all members of the family to meet, play, socialize, network and collaborate. Families can choose to attend all, some, or just the occasional Learning in Community day, staying for as long each day as makes sense for their family.

**Note that some of these details may be effected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.**

Tuesdays:

  • We meet at our Roberts Creek Community School SPIDER Hub.
  • We meet from 9:45am-2pm
  • We have teacher led library, gym, group learning activities, lunch and playground play, and whole group activities.
  • Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged.
  • A small number of students may be dropped off directly in to teacher care as part of our TeamSPIDER program.
  • We sometimes go on a field trip instead!

Thursdays

  • We meet at beautiful and wild Camp Byng in Roberts, in Skeena Lodge.
  • We meet from 945am-2pm
  • We invite community members, experts in their field, or other exciting presenters to lead engaging and hands on workshops on a variety of topics.
  • We have time for a morning circle with Show and Share, and to play and socialize over lunch.
  • Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged.
  • A small number of Grade 3-6 students may be dropped off directly in to teacher care as part of our TeamSPIDER program.
  • We sometimes go on a field trip instead!
