September Start Ups 2024 for ProjectSPIDER and SPIDER Online Secondary
Below is our plan for school start up in September. Our school office will be open starting Monday, August 19th. Have a fantastic summer!
Please note that Tuesday, September 3rd is a Professional Development Day, so no school yet for students – but for staff.
Project SPIDER – CLC Building, Sechelt- Teacher Chelsie Koberwitz
On Friday, September 13th there will be a first gathering for Project SPIDER students. The Project SPIDER program will begin regular classes on Wednesday, September 18th at 9AM, ending at 2PM. Programming for all Project SPIDER students will run from Wednesday to Friday next year.
By Wednesday, September 4th, Project SPIDER staff will contact parents/guardians to organize a start up meeting for parents, as well as provide direction for first ‘assignments’, learning plans, and online Math start up.

Sr SPIDER (Full Time) – Server will be up and running September 4th. We are moving from Moodle to a new ‘Learning Management System’ called Brightspace. All students will receive an email with information regarding setting up your new password. As well, all students will be put into an ‘Intro to Online Learning’ unit to introduce them to this new system.
Students who have not quite completed their course in Moodle will have until October 20th to complete in Moodle – then that system will be going offline and all courses will be in Brightspace.
Full time students / families will be contacted to schedule a meeting to go over your learning plan.
